The heart of Anglesey.

In the Spotlight

This month’s in the spotlight is Cwpwrdd Cornel.

Cwpwrdd Cornel was first opened in 1972 by Mrs Bessie Burns, and was taken over by it’s present owner, Mr Dylan Morgan on St David’s Day (1st March 1990).

Located in the Foundry Centre off Llangefni High Street, this well-stocked little shop has a wide variety of the best welsh books which include the very latest volume of poetry by the late Chief Bard Gerallt Lloyd Owen, a volume about the life of actor and entertainer from Anglesey, Mr Charles Williams, a collection of poetry by the late Sian Owen and many more Welsh books for all ages.

Cwpwrdd Cornel also stock a wide variety of Welsh music cds, greetings cards, rugby shirts, Welsh gifts, maps, banners, CYW goods and Welsh versions of popular board games like Scrabble and Monopoly.

Cwpwrdd Cornel will shortly be stocking the National Eisteddfod merchandise.

Dylan would like to thank past and present customers for their support, and look forward to future custom.
